October 29th - November 2nd

What We're Working on This Week:

Language Arts

This week we will focus on journal writing and good illustrations!  We will discuss and learn how to add details to our illustrations and make sure that our drawings help tell the story!

Readers Workshop is going great!! We will continue to talk about different ways you can read a book (read the pictures, read the words, retell a familiar story) and keep working to build stamina in our reading!

We will continue reading books about Pumpkins and Halloween just for fun!

Black Cat Behind Jack-O-Lantern

Social Studies

We are continuing our unit called: Our Country, the Land We Love!
We will continue learning about our country, the United States of America! We will keep focusing on symbols of the USA!! We are having a great time learning these!

Math and Science

In Math and Science this week, we are excited to be learning all about PUMPKINS! We will study their life cycles, learn the parts of a pumpkin, and do several fun engineering and math stations with pumpkins! Thank you so much to everyone who has brought it a miniature pumpkin for us to use! And..It's not too late to send one in!!
