Special Edition: Special Friends Day & Fall Family Picnic and Raffle

Special Friend's Day

Friday, September 14th
If you are not familiar with TCE Special Friends Day you will find a little info below from our principal, Jennifer Martin. It is a fun filled day where students are asked to invite a special friend to school to visit their classroom for a snack and to show off some special work. A special friend can be anyone: Grandparents / Mom / Dad / Aunt / Uncle / Family Friend / Neighbor. Kindergarten special friends can visit from 11:15 - 12:15 in our classrooms! Please try to have someone attend for your child!

Please plan on joining us Friday, September 14th for a fun-filled day at Town Center! We have designated times throughout the day for "Special Friends" (family & family friends) to visit our learners' classrooms in order to see some of the great things they are learning and doing. Our campus book fair will also be open during this time. Please see below for grade level's specific visiting times.

In order to save you or your child’s special friend time with checking in, we are asking you fill out the following form. CLICK HERE in order to get checked in efficiently. We will have multiple people with these lists so that we can get you in quickly. If this form is not completed, you or the special friend will just need to go through the front office to check in with our traditional method which may take more time.

Fall Family Picnic

TCE will have our annual Fall Family Picnic Friday, September 14th from 6-8PM at the Town Center Plaza located adjacent to our playground and behind City Hall. It is a great time to connect with other families and staff, and everyone has a chance to participate in our yearly auction for fun-filled prizes. Food trucks will be on site for you to purchase dinner and treats!

RAFFLE TICKETS: You probably saw a packet of raffle tickets come home this week! These are available for you to sell or purchase yourself! You can turn in the money collected and raffle ticket stubs to the front office or to your homeroom teacher. If you have extra tickets or do not sell them all please return those too so we can distribute them to people who would like to sell more! There are lots of cash and other prizes and all of the money goes to our TCE PTO which in turn helps our school!

AUCTION ITEMS: There will also be a silent auction that will be held where you can place bids to win prizes and also some "teacher dates" will be auctioned off too! Kindergarten Teachers will be auctioning off a fun afternoon of Kickball and Cookies with the Kindergarten teachers! The money from this also goes to the TCE PTO!
