April 8th - April 12th

What We're Working on This Week

Language Arts:

This week we will start a new unit on Poetry!  We will be reading some poems and poetry books
as well as illustrating some poems of our own! We may even write a poem or two!
We will also learn 2 more word wall words:
"up" and "get"
Keep working on those words at home too! See if you can
read them and write them or make flash cards!

We will be learning about our needs and wants and identifying examples of each!

In Science, we will be learning all about plants. This week we will explore a plant's life cycle. We will learn how it grows from a seed, to a sprout, to a plant, to a flowering plant. We will even be growing our own plants in our classrooms!

Fifth grade will take Math on Tuesday and Reading on Wednesday. Fourth grade will take writing on Tuesday. During these days, all other grade levels will continue with a regular school day.

It is important that we have an environment that is free of interruptions to ensure that our students have the opportunity to do their best on these important days. In order to ensure a secure and quiet testing environment, no visitors will be allowed on campus for all grade levels.
Due to this, we will not allow lunch visitors these days.
You may contact the office on these days if you are in need of assistance and they will be happy to help you.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping our campus and our students to be successful on our testing days!
