Back to School!

 Hello Kindergarten families! Welcome to our Kindergarten Blog! Each week we will share curriculum updates, important dates for your calendar, pictures, and information that you will need to know. Thank you so much for taking the time to read it each week! 

This week, we just wanted to share a few things to know for Kindergarten!

Lunches

Your child can bring a lunch from home or buy a lunch from our cafeteria. The lunch menus for each month can be found here! Your child can also purchase "extras" such as chips and ice cream for $1. To put money into your child's account, you can either send in cash or you can set up an account through My School Bucks! 

Green Folders

Every day we will send home our green Take Home Folder. Please check this every night and return to school the next day! Any work that comes home in the folder is yours to keep. This is also where we will send home important papers (for example, a picture day paper is coming home in the folder today!). There is also a behavior calendar in the folder. Please sign or initial this each night! 

iPads

We are so excited about getting iPads for all of our Kindergarten friends! We are not anticipating this happening for a few more weeks, but once we have iPads, we will let you know! If you were in Pre-K in Coppell ISD, then your child will continue to use the same iPad they did last year. The iPad can stay at home for the time being. Once we are ready to use them, we will send an email to let you know! 

Switching Classes

Beginning Monday, we will start switching classes for content. During Language Arts, your children will go to Mrs. Torti's classroom. For Math they will go with Miss Rice, and for Science and Social Studies they will go to Mrs. Brehm's room. 

Important Dates:

August 24th - PTO Meeting at 6:00 pm in TCE Library

August 31st - Fall Picture Day (check green folders for information!)

September 1st - Curriculum Night at 5:30 pm in TCE Cafeteria
