We will also recognize real-life examples of shapes. We will also do some fun activities with finding and creating 2D shapes!

Science

This week in Science we will continue our unit of living things - plants.  We will sort plants by their physical characteristics (color, size, or leaf shape).  We will learn about the basic parts of a plant and the life cycle of a plant which includes the seed -to- seedling- to- plant -to- flower- to- producing fruit. We will visit our TCE garden to find all the different types of seeds that have been planted and how they are growing.  We will measure, take pictures, compare and contrast, etc. at our garden.  All are welcome to come see our TCE Garden.

This week in Social Studies we will be creating maps of our neighborhoods and using Map keys to show us how to read a map. Our maps will include, houses, streets, lakes, building, etc. We will continue learning about directions (N,E,S,W), and how a map, globe, and compass rose can help us!
