What We Are Learning:

Language Arts:

This week in Readers Workshop we will start a new unit called
Super Readers!!!
This is such a fun unit that really gets the kids excited about books and reading!

In Writing this week we will start a new unit on Writing for Readers!
We will continue to practice using our new writing journals and using
capital letters, finger spaces, and ending punctuation!

We will not get any new SNAP Words this week!
We will be reviewing the words we have learned so far! We know 14 SNAP Words!

Library Day

F2F Learners can return Library books on Monday 11/2 and check out a new book!
Virtual learners, please click HERE for information on checking out a book from our library!

Math:

In math this week, we will focus our learning on composing and decomposing numbers. We will be able to put together and break apart numbers up to 10 in many different ways. We will use different math manipulatives and number bonds to help us with this! This helps us pave the way to become excellent at addition and subtraction!

Science:

This week in Science we are studying Day, Night and Sky - We will recognize the patterns of the world, such as day and night,  and observe and describe objects in the sky during the day and night.

Social Studies:

We will continue our unit of study on US Symbols.  Each day next week we going to learn about a US Symbol such as Statute of Liberty,  White House, Liberty Bell, and Mount Rushmore.  Make sure to watch the announcements on Wednesday,  Nov.11th and see Kindergarten video of the cards we made for our Veteran's.
