Kindergarten News: March 27th- March 31st

What we’re
Workin’ on this week..
Language Arts / Social Studies
We are practicing our writing, writing, writing!  We have been working on choosing topics that we know a lot about as well as writing some "Once Upon A Time..." stories!  We will learn two new word wall words: from and what.   Book Bags are back again on Monday (K1 and K2) or when your child's reading group meets (K3 and K4) and will have a reading response paper for the students to fill out after they read!  Than you so much for helping them at home!

Math
This week we are going to continue learning about addition! We will be using our different strategies we have learned to help us when we are adding (and later on when we are subtracting).

Here are the strategies that we have learned!

If you have not tried out Reflex Math with your child, it might be a good time to try. Please remember, if your child becomes frustrated- please stop and let your teacher know and we will provide different ways to practice addition and subtraction at home! :)

Science

We are learning all about animals with our Animals 2X2 kit. We have started with classifying animals. After we are done learning about the classifications- we are digging deep into the different animals that have certain characteristics of each classification.
