Language
Arts
This
week we will be learning two more word wall words so that we will have 10 words all together. We will learn "but" and "go" this week. Please help your child practice these words at home! Thanks!

We will also begin a unit on
Fairy Tales and literature that contains the characteristics of these tales! It is going to be fun!
We will start new Daily 5 Stations this week too! Ask your kiddos which station they visited each day!
Math
We
will continue to work on Number Sense! We have started some new Daily 5 Math Stations that are focusing on Number Sense and we are learning how to use technology as a tool to "show what we know."
Be on the lookout from some e.mails from Seesaw! This is a new app that we are using to show our knowledge! As you are working with your child at home please practice backwards counting from 20 and writing and forming numbers correctly. Check out the videos on my webpage for some help and additional information!
Science / Social Studies
We will be working
with the Engineering Design Process to improve the design of a shoe. We will be making some global connections to those that need shoes as well as focusing on the history of the shoe and different types of shoes around the world! We will make language arts connections by talking about Cinderella's famous glass slipper.

Shoe and Blue Jeans Drive is still going strong! Thanks so much for sending in all of your old shoes and jeans to donate! Please keep 'em coming!
Remember to
send a snack with your child each
day. It should be something quick and
easy to open. Also, the children may
only have water bottles in our classrooms.
Please do not send juice for snack time.
