Writer's Workshop:
This week in Writer's Workshop we will continue our journal writing and also be working on writing about things we are THANKFUL for! I love this time of year and the students writing is really taking off! They are doing such a great job!
Reader's Workshop:
We will begin a new unit on becoming SUPER READERS!! We will begin to learn about strategies readers can use to help them become better readers! We will practice reading leveled books and use Razz Kids to help us practice our reading super powers!
Phonics:
We will continue focusing on the common sounds that letters represent!
We will also get two more high frequency words: "am" and "the."
So far we have learned 12 Words! Please review and practice these words at home too!
Math
In Math this week, we will continue our review of comparing numbers! We will use vocabulary words like greater than, less than, and equal to compare objects, pictures, and numbers. We will also be able to represent those vocabulary words by building sets that are greater, less, and equal. This week, we will learn about using a number line as a math tool for comparing numbers. We will also focus on identifying one more and one less than a number.

This upcoming week in Social Studies, we will be learning all about Veterans day and how much we appreciate our Veterans and their services! Kindergarten will be participating in the Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 11th at 8:15 a.m. We will be practicing all week!
