Please send in any reading rainbow bingo cards! We are so thrilled to see so many families reading at home! It is never too late! If you still have some to turn in feel free! We are on our last card, PURPLE!
Book Bags / Library Books
We will go to the library on Monday, April 4th! Please return any library books by Monday so your child can check out a new one!

Take a Peek at our Week
Language Arts
Writer's Workshop:
This week in Writer's Workshop we will begin a new unit on Opinion Writing! We will learn how to share our thoughts and ideas and give reasons to back them up!
Reading Workshop / Phonics:
We will begin a new unit on Poetry! We will be reading some poetry books and finding the beat, rhythm, and meter in different types of poems. We will also be listening for rhyming words and word families!

Math
In Math this week, we will be building on our learning all about money! We will learn about personal finance and economics this week. We will learn about earning an income, skills required for jobs, spending and saving, and differentiating between spending money on wants or needs.
Social Studies
In Social studies this week, we will continue with learning all about geography and maps! This week we will become experts at using a compass rose! We will be able to identify North, South, East, and West by playing some fun games!
Science
In Science this week, we will be focusing on living things. We will learn that living things produce offspring, and how those offspring resemble their parents. We will learn about specific needs of living things, and we will discuss how animals survive in the wild.
