Meet Mrs. Brehm

Hello TCE Families,

My Name is Lorri Brehm.  Welcome to Kindergarten!  I am so excited for this year to begin!  We have so many fun and great learning activities planned for Kindergarten.

Just a few things about me....

I have LOVED teaching Kindergarten and First Grade for the past 19 years.  I have been at Town Center for 16 years.  I am married to my high school sweetheart, and have two grown children, and two precious grandchildren!

My favorite things to do: Spending time with my children and my two grandchildren (they live in Arkansas), my husband and friends, and playing as much tennis as I can!
                              I love to read too!

Meet Ms. Becker

Hello!  I am Kim Becker and am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year with my awesome team!  I have taught first grade, second grade and have provided literacy intervention for grades K-5.  This is my 13th year at Town Center and my 25th year to teach.

I have a daughter who attends Texas Tech and an Australian Shepherd who I adore!  When I'm not teaching, I love spending time boating and fishing at the lake.  I am excited to get to know each of you and see how much fun we are going to have learning and growing this year!

Meet Mrs. McKinney

Hi sweet kindergarten families! I am so excited to get the year started and have the opportunity to be able to get to know each child and your families! Below is a little about me!

This will be my sixth year to teach and I feel so lucky to be part of the TCE family! I graduated from Abilene Christian University (go wildcats!!) with a degree in Education in 2009. I have be so fortunate to be able to teach as a teacher of record in an ESL program in Beijing, China as a kindergarten teacher and then as a second grade teacher. I have taught kindergarten ever since I have been at TCE and have loved every second of it!

When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family and friends! I love to cook/bake, shop, decorate/redecorate my home, travel and go on walks around our neighborhood. Kevin and I had our first child this summer and we are over the moon in love! Our life has changed for the better and we love watching him grow before our eyes! I grew up in Pflugerville, Texas ( a small town outside of Austin) with my Mom, Dad and sister, Krystal.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me! I cannot wait to get to know all of the fun things about your child and your families!

Meet Mrs. Torti

Kinder- "GARDEN" Celebration

(June 1st @ 8:30- around 9:45)

Kindergarten is taking a final “field trip” on Wednesday, June 1st! We will just be going over to the community garden that shares a parking lot with TCE!  We are going to celebrate “Kinder-GARDEN” day!!  We will walk to the community garden (it is right next to TCE, we don’t even have to go to the main street!)  We are going to learn about the garden and do some fun rotations in the garden and then we are going to get a mini tour of the TCE garden behind the cafeteria.
After that we will be eating a picnic lunch outside if the weather allows! Your child may either bring their lunch or buy their lunch on that day. ( The cafeteria will be serving pizza if you wish to buy that day!)  This is just supposed to be a fun last day of learning in kindergarten!  We will head over to the community garden about 8:30 a.m. and we should be done by 9:30 / 10:00.  If you have time that morning and would be willing to come and help us would you please let us know!  You can e.mail your homeroom teacher and she will write your name down to come out that morning!

Thanks so much for a GREAT year in Kinder-GARDEN!
