Language Arts
Writer's Workshop:
This week in Writer's Workshop continue writing a "How To..." piece. We will be sharing about things we know how to do and give simple steps to complete it! We will transition words like: First, Next, Last.
Phonics:
We will review all the common sounds that letters represent.
We will review short vowel sounds.
We will review the "H Brothers" digraphs

Readers Workshop:
In Reader's Workshop we will continue our new unit on becoming AVID Readers! We will learn how to set reading goals for ourselves and work hard to reach our goals!
Math
In Math this week, we will be learning all about addition and subtraction! We will learn that there are different strategies for solving addition and subtraction problems. We will learn to use counters, draw pictures, use number lines, and even use our fingers to solve these problems. We will also begin using these skills to solve story problems! We are amazing problem solvers!!
Social Studies
In Social Studies, we will be starting a new unit on Geography! We will be learning about locations relative to our school and neighborhoods.
Science
In Science this week, we will be reviewing our unit on Earth Materials! We will discuss how materials are. made and how they are used in our everyday lives and environments.
