Kindergarten News: November 28th- December 9th

What we’re
Workin’ on this week..
Language Arts / Social Studies
This week we will begin an author study on Author and Illustrator, Jan Brett!  She has written many famous children's books and is an amazing artist as well!  We will also pick back up in our journals and really work on extending our writing!  Everyone is doing great!  We will learn one new word this week, "my" and review the words we have already learned too! We are almost at 20 words!

Math

This week we will be working on learning about personal financial literacy! We will be learning all about needs vs. wants, goods and services, earning money, saving money and receiving money as a gift. We will be challenging learners to think of things they are good at that they could provide as a way of earning money. (We will be making a poster to show that we know how we can earn money).
As we talk about needs vs. wants, we will be talking about some of the things that are needed around the world and brainstorming how even though we may be little, how we could help out!

Extending your Learning at Home:

Thank you to those who have sent in a video counting in a different language! We hope to get more videos in!! Click on the hotspot circle links on the map below!

We cannot wait to get in the videos, put them on our world map and learn from you!
