What we’re
Workin’ on this week..
Next week in Language Arts we will continue our unit on Nighttime and Dreams! The kids are loving all of the fun activities that we will share with you at Open House on March 10th! We are also doing some fun Daily 5 stations that have some nighttime activities in them as well! One is sitting around the campfire at night to listen to bedtime stories! Ask your kiddos about it!
Math
We are continuing our studies on measurement! We are focusing on measuring length with nonstandard units through different stations! Your child has been visiting a new station everyday to practice their skills in measuring different objects, as well as engineering a bed for a stuffed animal. Don't forget to ask your child about the measurement station they visit each day!
*Please remember that in kindergarten, it is all about nonstandard units of measurement ( no rulers ).

Science / Social Studies
In Science, we are continuing our Chemical Engineering Unit on Play Dough. We will be testing and exploring different materials by their properties, and participating in product research to better understand what consumers really want and prefer in a given product. On Monday, Feb 29th we will Skype with my Nephew, Cody Harger. He is a Mechanical/Chemical Engineer for a Paper Mill in Louisiana.
